FAQs

Can I request a specific style or subject matter for the artwork?
Yes. Our artist is flexible with styles and will do their best to accommodate your requests. If we are unable to fulfill your request, we will let you know and will not proceed with the commission. We value honesty and transparency in our business practices.
Can I request a rush order if I need the artwork sooner than the standard timeline?
A rush order may be possible for charcoal/pastel/pen drawings if our artist is available, but additional costs may apply.
Can I request a specific size for my artwork that is not listed on your website?
For custom sizes outside of the listed options, we can accommodate your request as much as possible and adjust the price accordingly.
What is the additional cost for including more than one subject in the artwork?
The additional cost will depend on the complexity and size of the piece. Typically, it ranges from 10% to 30% of the original price.
Can I commission you if I am located outside Singapore?
Yes, we welcome international orders. However, please note that oil painting on canvas is not available for overseas orders due to safety concerns. We do offer oil painting on panel in sizes A4 and A3, as well as drawings on paper. Please be aware that additional fees may apply for Paypal transaction charges.
How long does it take to complete a commission?
The turnaround time for a charcoal/pastel/pen drawing is typically 2-4 weeks, while an oil painting takes around 3-5 weeks, including one week for drying time. However, please note that the turnaround time may vary depending on the complexity and size of the artwork. We'll provide you with an estimated completion date when you request a quote.
Do you provide framing service?
Unfortunately, we do not offer framing services at the moment as we believe it's a personal choice best left to the client to discuss with a professional framer directly. However, we can recommend a nearby framer, GS Framing, and provide you with some common options once the size of your artwork is confirmed. Their price range for A4 to 100 x 70 cm is typically $30 to $300, depending on the size and materials. We can arrange to send the drawing to them, and you can collect the framed artwork from them once it's completed.
Can I cancel my commission?
The 50% deposit is non-refundable. If you need to cancel your commission during the process, please notify us as soon as possible. However, once the artwork is close to completion or finished, cancellation is no longer possible, and the remaining payment will be due.
Who will be the artist that create the artwork for me?
Our current artist available for commissions is Liu Ling, and you can view some of her previous commission work on our commission page or her personal website here. If you have a specific artist in mind, please let us know and we can check their availability for you.

Our studio hopes to function as a bridge to provide artists with opportunities and help them grow independently. Once the commission is confirmed, we hand over the inquiry to the artist and do not get involved in the process or transaction unless the artist requires assistance.
How will the artwork be packaged?
Drawings on paper will be sprayed with fixative to protect the surface from gentle smudging and packaged in a rigid envelope. Larger drawings will be carefully rolled in a tube. Oil paintings on canvas will be bubble wrapped for protection.
I have received the artwork. How should I preserve it?
To maintain your artwork, make sure to display it in an area that is not exposed to direct sunlight or extreme temperatures, as this can cause fading or damage over time.

For drawings on paper, we have sprayed it with fixative to prevent gentle smudging. However, it is still recommended to avoid touching the surface with your fingers or other objects, as oils and dirt can cause discoloration or smudging.

For oil painting, Use a soft, dry cloth to gently remove any dust or debris from the artwork. Avoid using cleaners or chemicals, as these can damage the artwork.
Do you offer life drawing commissions?
We do not offer life drawing commissions at this time. We specialize in creating high-quality artworks based on photographs or other reference materials.
